COMPETITIVE BOXING
Junior Competitive (10-16) & Adult Competitive (17+) - ABA Affiliated
Junior: £8.50/session until first amateur fight, then £5/session
Adult: £10/session until first amateur fight, then £5/session
This is for boxers who want to compete. Or boxers who think they might want to compete. If you've been training recreationally and feel ready to step up, or if you're an experienced boxer looking for a new gym, this is where the serious work happens.
We are affiliated with the Amateur Boxing Alliance (England) with ABA-qualified coaches. Our Competitive Boxing squad competes across London and the South East, from development shows to national championships. The training is hard. The coaching is detailed. The support around fight time is second to none.
Competitive pricing follows the same pathway for juniors and adults. Boxers pay the relevant recreational rate until they have had their first amateur fight. After that, the competitive rate is £5/session.
Training gloves are not fight gloves.
Use the best boxing gloves UK guide for the full buying system, the sparring gloves guide for partner work, and the bag gloves guide for harder bag rounds. Newer boxers should start with beginner gloves before buying specialist kit.
Junior pathway proof
RECENT JUNIOR WIN: MEMET
Memet picked up a junior win at the Gator / West Thurrock / Seven Hills Show. This is what the pathway is for: build the basics first, then compete when the coaches know the boxer is ready.
TWO PROGRAMMES
JUNIOR COMPETITIVE
Ages 10-16 - Mon/Wed/Fri, 6-7:30pm
For carded junior boxers. If your child has been training recreationally and shows the ability and desire to compete, this is the next step. The coaches will let you know when they are ready.
Junior Recreational rate until first amateur fight, then £5/session.
Training includes technical work, sparring, fitness, and fight-specific preparation. We take matchmaking seriously - your child will not be put in the ring unless they are ready.
ADULT COMPETITIVE
Ages 17+ - Mon/Wed/Fri, 7:30-9pm
For carded or aspiring competitive boxers. Whether you are looking for your first bout or your fiftieth, the training is tailored to where you are in your boxing journey.
Adult Recreational rate until first amateur fight, then £5/session.
Expect sparring, pad work with coaches, technical drilling, and conditioning. Before a fight, the preparation gets specific - game plans, opponent analysis, the lot.
WHAT TRAINING LOOKS LIKE
WARM-UP & ROUNDS (15 mins)
Skipping, shadow boxing, footwork drills. Three to four rounds to get loose and focused.
TECHNICAL WORK (20 mins)
Combination drilling, defensive patterns, counter-punching. The coaches work on specific things with each boxer - this isn't one-size-fits-all.
SPARRING & PADS (30 mins)
Controlled sparring, coach-led pad rounds, body sparring. The sparring is supervised and matched carefully. Rounds are structured with clear objectives.
CONDITIONING (15 mins)
Circuits, bag work, core. Fight fitness is different from gym fitness - the conditioning is designed to make you last three rounds at full intensity.
