New to boxing? Start at the Kidbrooke gym with clear coaching and no pressure to spar.
Starting boxing can feel like a bigger step than joining a normal gym. You may not know what to bring, whether you are fit enough, or whether everyone else will already know what they are doing. At Honour and Glory in Kidbrooke, beginners are expected.
You do not need to be fit before you start. The first job is to teach the basics properly: how to stand, how to move, how to hold your guard, how to throw straight punches and how to work safely on bags and pads. You are not judged for being new. You are coached from where you are.
The main adult route for complete beginners travelling from Kidbrooke. Covers what to expect, fitness level, contact and how the free trial works.

A good beginner class is clear, not chaotic. You should know what you are practising, why it matters and what to work on next.
For adults in Kidbrooke, that usually means starting with Adult Recreational. You will learn stance, guard, straight punches, simple combinations, bag work, pad work and conditioning. No one expects you to look polished on day one.
For juniors, the correct starting route is Junior Recreational from age 7. It is not a smaller version of the adult class. It is built around listening, balance, coordination and safe boxing habits before anything more serious.
Use the free class trial if you want to try a group session and see whether the club environment fits.
Start with Junior Recreational. Sparring and competition are later pathway decisions, not day-one assumptions.
Use PT separately if you want paid one-to-one correction before joining a group or alongside class training.
