Boxing for Fitness Near Slade Green
Boxing for Fitness Near Slade Green
Slade Green is near the Thames and the marshes, a community that knows the value of practical things. If you want to get fit without the tedium of a standard gym, boxing training at Honour and Glory in Kidbrooke is 15 minutes away.
This is the direct case for why boxing is a better fitness investment than most alternatives.
What Boxing Training Delivers
A session at Honour and Glory works the whole body: legs through footwork and stance, core through rotation in punching, arms and shoulders through pad and bag work. There is no isolation. Everything is connected.

The cardiovascular demand is real and sustained throughout. A 90-minute session burns 500 to 700 calories. The muscle development from regular training changes your body composition over months.
The most significant factor is not the calorie count. It is the fact that boxing training is interesting enough to keep you coming back. You are learning a skill. There is always a technical element to focus on. Boredom, which kills most fitness routines, is not a feature of boxing training.
The Thames Marshes Comparison
You can walk around the Erith Marshes near Slade Green for free. That is a good thing to do. But it does not build boxing technique, and it does not provide the progressive physical challenge that changes your fitness level over months.
Boxing training is a different category of physical activity.
