Honour and Glory Boxing Club is at 122 Broad Walk, Kidbrooke, SE3 8ND, around 24 minutes from Dartford. Sessions cost £10 with no contract or joining fee.

No Experience Required

The recreational adults class runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30-9pm. It takes complete beginners and has done since the club opened in 2020. Over 200 members have come through the door, many of whom had no boxing background at all.

Coaches are BBBofC licensed. That means they are qualified to teach the fundamentals correctly from the start, rather than leaving you to develop bad habits that take months to undo.

What You Will Learn First

In the first few sessions you will cover stance, footwork, and the basic punches. The coach will show you how to stand, how to move, and how to throw punches with correct mechanics before you go to the bags.

From there, sessions build progressively. Pad work comes once your basic technique is established. You do not spar until the coach considers it appropriate, and recreational members are under no pressure to compete.

The Environment

The club is ABA affiliated and has a 4.9-star Google rating from over 40 reviews. Beginners are a normal part of the session, not a separate group who train in a corner. You train alongside more experienced members, which is how progress happens quickly.

Many members from Bexley and Sidcup make the journey to Kidbrooke for the same reasons as Dartford residents. The instruction quality is the common factor.

Practical Information

Bring comfortable clothes, wraps, and water. If you do not have boxing gloves, speak to a coach before the session and they will advise on what to get. The club is at 122 Broad Walk with free parking on site.

The drive from Dartford takes 24 minutes. Train from Dartford station to London Bridge connects towards Kidbrooke, though most people drive in the evening.
