At Honour & Glory, coaching goes beyond pad work and technique. This story shows what our coaches are really about.
The Problem
The night before a competition, one of our junior boxers - Freddy - realised he had no way to get to the venue. No lift. No transport. It looked like he'd have to miss the bout.
Coach Anton messaged him directly: "Can you get to the gym? I will take you there and back."
That is it. No drama. Just a coach solving a problem so a young boxer could compete.
More Than Boxing

This is not unusual at H&G. The coaching team regularly goes out of its way for members:
- Driving across South London to pick up boxers for competitions
- Opening the gym during holidays when members want to train
- Staying late to work with juniors who need extra attention
When a coach is stuck in traffic because they have helped a young boxer get to a competition, nobody at H&G sees that as unusual. That is just what H&G coaches do.
The Result

Freddy made it to the competition. He boxed. The whole team performed.
And that is the H&G way - we look after our own.
