Boxing Near Sidcup

If you live in Sidcup and you are looking for a proper boxing gym, the nearest serious option is Honour and Glory Boxing Club in Kidbrooke. The drive from Sidcup High Street takes around 18 minutes, and the gym sits at 122 Broad Walk, SE3 8ND with free parking on site.

This is not a franchise. Honour and Glory opened in 2020 as a community club, and it has grown to over 200 members across south east London because it does the basics well: ABA-affiliated coaching, a clean gym, and a straightforward pay-as-you-go structure.

Getting There from Sidcup

By car, head west on the A211 through Eltham toward Kidbrooke. The journey is around 18 minutes in normal traffic. Free parking is available at the gym, so you do not need to hunt for a space after a session.

From Sidcup station, take a Southeastern train toward Lewisham and then continue by bus or taxi toward Kidbrooke. Most members from Sidcup find driving the simplest option.

What Is on Offer

Adults can train Monday to Friday, 7:30pm to 9pm. Sessions cost £10 and there is no contract, no direct debit, and no joining fee. You pay when you come and skip when you cannot.

Women's boxing runs every Saturday from 10:30am to 12pm. The class is women-only and has its own coaching focus. See the women's boxing page for details.

Children are welcome from age 5. Infants (5 to 9) and Juniors (10 to 16) train separately on weekday evenings from 5pm. The coaches are DBS-checked and the club is ABA affiliated. More on the kids programme here.

The Coaching Standard

All coaches hold BBBofC licences. That matters because it is not a standard most commercial gyms bother with. The coaching team takes recreational members as seriously as competitive ones.

The gym holds a 4.9-star rating on Google from over 40 reviews. For a club that opened in 2020, that is a track record worth noting.

Why Sidcup Members Make the Trip

Sidcup is well-served by leisure facilities, but dedicated boxing clubs with this level of accreditation are rare in the Bexley borough. The 18-minute drive to Kidbrooke gets you into a gym with real credentials at a price that does not require a monthly commitment.

Nearby areas like Eltham and Welling also feed into H&G, so you will find members from across this part of south east London at most sessions.
