A clear parent route into Junior Recreational at the club in Kidbrooke: age fit, first-session expectations, parking, supervision and a free group-class trial.
Dartford parents are usually checking whether boxing will be structured, supervised and right for their child, not just whether a class exists nearby. Honour and Glory runs Junior Recreational as the normal first route from age 7. The first trial should show how your child listens, follows instructions and settles into a coached room.
The early focus is stance, guard, balance, footwork, controlled effort, bags and pads. Children are not pushed towards competition on the first visit. Junior Competitive is a later pathway conversation for young boxers who are ready for that level of commitment.
Parents from Dartford, Stone, Crayford and Bexley should treat the first session as a practical check: travel, parking, age fit, coaching tone and whether your child wants to come back. If your child needs one to one support before joining a group, keep that separate as paid personal training rather than trying to solve it through a free group trial.

Arrive early, bring water and comfortable sports clothes, and tell the coach if your child is nervous or new to sport. The first class should answer whether the coaching style, instructions and room rhythm fit your child.
For younger children, the minimum age matters. If your child is below the current group-class age range, do not try to force the route. Message first and ask what is appropriate. For children who are ready, book the junior group trial and use the session to make a calm parent decision.
