Boxing Classes for Beginners Near Crayford

You do not need to know anything about boxing to start. Every person at Honour and Glory Boxing Club was a beginner at some point, and the majority of the 200-plus members who train there now started with no experience at all.

The gym is at 122 Broad Walk, Kidbrooke, SE3 8ND. From Crayford the drive is around 17 minutes, and free parking is available when you arrive. Adult sessions run Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:30pm to 9pm, at £10 each.

What to Expect in Your First Class

The first session is not a test. The coach will cover your stance, your guard, and your basic movement. You will throw your first punches on a bag or with a partner holding pads. Everything is explained before you do it.

You do not need to bring gloves or hand wraps. Comfortable training clothes and a water bottle are enough for the first visit.

Why People Start Boxing Later in Life

Boxing gyms in films look intense. Real beginner sessions at a community club are different. The pace is your pace to begin with. The technical feedback from a licensed coach is what makes the difference between picking up good habits early or reinforcing bad ones.

The coaching team at H&G holds ABA/Alliance ratings. The club is ABA affiliated. Those credentials exist at every level of training, not just for competitive members.

The Progress You Can Expect

Within four to six weeks of regular training, most beginners report a noticeable shift in fitness, posture, and confidence. Boxing is technically demanding enough to keep your mind engaged while also delivering a physical workout that most other activities cannot match.

Recreational adult boxing at H&G is structured so that beginners and more experienced members train together without the gap feeling uncomfortable.

A Practical Reason to Start from Crayford

Crayford is close to the Dartford border and boxing facilities with proper accreditation are limited in this part of Bexley. The 17-minute drive to Kidbrooke gives you access to a gym with verified coaching standards and a genuine community feel.

Members from nearby Sidcup and Erith make similar journeys for the same reasons.
