KIDS BOXING CLASSES NEAR BELVEDERE
A parent-first route for testing the Kidbrooke junior class from Belvedere.
Belvedere parents are deciding whether the Kidbrooke junior class is organised enough, safe enough and right for their child. The free group-class trial should test the coaching room: instructions, supervision, age fit and how your child responds.
For most children, Junior Recreational is the starting route. The first session is about listening, stance, guard, footwork, controlled effort, bags and pads. If a child later wants a more serious boxing pathway, that is discussed over time with coaches and parents, not promised on a first-visit page.
Use the kids boxing classes hub for the programme overview and the Junior Recreational class page for the active class route. If your child needs individual help rather than a group trial, use the paid personal training route.
JUNIOR RECREATIONAL (7-16)

Check the room and your child's first response
The trial should answer practical parent questions: does your child listen to the instructions, does the class feel supervised, and does the junior route fit your family?
Start with the junior group route rather than private coaching unless you already know your child needs one-to-one help. Parents can watch, ask questions and decide after seeing the class in person.

WHY BOXING IS BRILLIANT FOR CHILDREN
Boxing gives children structure, movement, listening practice and clear boundaries. At the Kidbrooke gym, Junior Recreational (ages 7 to 16) builds coordination, footwork, basic technique and controlled effort. From age 10, Junior Competitive adds a more serious amateur pathway with structured pad work, conditioning and bouts only when appropriate.
Junior sessions are supervised and structured for children and teenagers. We keep class sizes controlled so children can be coached properly. Parents are welcome to watch from the viewing area.
Children who train consistently often become more comfortable with routine, instruction and controlled effort. Some juniors later choose to compete, but the first job is safe, structured training that they can keep attending.
If you are still comparing options, start with our main kids boxing classes guide and the Junior Recreational class. For families in Belvedere, the key questions are how easy it is to get here and what your child should expect in the first session.
