Kids Boxing Classes Near Mottingham

Mottingham is a village-like suburb with quiet residential streets and the kind of community feel where children's activities matter. Boxing at Honour and Glory fits into that picture. The club is 13 minutes from Mottingham by car, accessible on the 161 bus, and runs structured sessions for a Junior Recreational route for ages 7 to 16, plus Junior Competitive from age 10 where suitable.

Junior Recreational: ages 7 to 16

The Junior Recreational sessions are physically active, clearly structured, and appropriate for children at this stage of development. Children learn the fundamental mechanics of boxing: stance, footwork, the basic punches. There is no contact. The emphasis is on building correct habits early and making the sessions genuinely enjoyable.

Young boxer in training

Children who start at this age and train consistently develop a technical foundation that serves them well if they continue in the sport. Getting the basics right at 6 is considerably easier than correcting bad habits at 14.

Juniors: Ages 10 to 16

Juniors work on more advanced material: combinations on the pads, bag work, defensive movement, footwork patterns under pressure. Those who want to compete have a pathway through Amateur Boxing Alliance. Those who want to train for the fitness and discipline without competition are equally welcome.

What Parents Notice

Parents who drive their children from Mottingham to Honour and Glory consistently notice changes in focus and attitude over the first few months. Boxing requires attention and discipline in a way that many after-school activities do not. These qualities carry over into school and home life.

Near Fairy Hill, the quiet streets of Mottingham are a pleasant place to grow up. The boxing gym in Kidbrooke gives children something to work towards.
