KIDS BOXING CLASSES NEAR BRIXTON

A parent-first route for Brixton families checking the Kidbrooke junior class.

Brixton parents are not choosing the nearest activity. They are deciding whether the Kidbrooke junior class is organised enough, clear enough and practical enough for their child to try properly.

Junior Recreational is the normal first route for children aged 7 to 16. The first session is about listening, stance, guard, balance, footwork, bags, pads and controlled effort. Junior Competitive is a later pathway for young boxers who are ready, not a first-visit promise.

Use the kids boxing hub and Junior Recreational class route for current programme detail. If your child needs one-to-one help rather than a group class, use the paid personal training route.

Boxing should be introduced carefully and coached properly. Children start with age-appropriate basics, protective equipment where needed, and are grouped by age, experience and readiness.

What does a kids boxing class involve? +

Classes include warm-up exercises, footwork drills, technique instruction on the bags and pads, and structured games that develop boxing skills. Sessions are age-appropriate and designed to be engaging.

WHY BOXING IS BRILLIANT FOR CHILDREN

Boxing gives children structure, movement, listening practice and clear boundaries. At the Kidbrooke gym, Junior Recreational (ages 7 to 16) builds coordination, footwork, basic technique and controlled effort. From age 10, Junior Competitive adds a more serious amateur pathway with structured pad work, conditioning and bouts only when appropriate.

Junior sessions are supervised and structured for children and teenagers. We keep class sizes controlled so children can be coached properly. Parents are welcome to watch from the viewing area.

Children who train consistently often become more comfortable with routine, instruction and controlled effort. Some juniors later choose to compete, but the first job is safe, structured training that they can keep attending.

If you are still comparing options, start with our main kids boxing classes guide and the Junior Recreational class. For families in Brixton, the key questions are how easy it is to get here and what your child should expect in the first session.
