Kids Boxing Classes Near Blackfen
Kids Boxing Classes Near Blackfen
Blackfen is a family suburb with good schools and a community that takes children's activities seriously. Parents here know the difference between activities that keep children occupied and ones that actually develop them. Boxing is firmly in the second category.
Honour and Glory in Kidbrooke runs age-specific boxing programmes for children from age 7 upwards, 14 minutes from Blackfen.
Junior Recreational: ages 7 to 16
Junior Recreational is structured around what children at this age can actually develop: movement, coordination, and the basic mechanics of how to stand and punch correctly. Sessions are active, structured, and enjoyable. Children in this age group respond well to the clear structure and the physical engagement.

No contact at this stage. The work is technical and conditioning-focused.
Juniors: Ages 10 to 16
The juniors programme covers more advanced technical ground. Pad work with a partner, bag combinations, defensive movement, footwork patterns. For children who want to take the sport seriously, there is a pathway into amateur competition through Amateur Boxing Alliance. For those who are there purely for the training and the discipline, that is equally supported.
Juniors sessions run from 5pm on Mon/Wed/Fri evenings, fitting neatly around the school day.
What Blackfen Parents Notice
Parents who bring children from Blackfen to Honour and Glory typically comment on the quality of the coaching structure and the consistency of the sessions. Children know what to expect, the coaches are clear about standards, and the improvement in focus and physical capability is visible within a few weeks.
Danson Park is nearby for general physical activity, but boxing at Honour and Glory provides something that park time does not: coached skill development with clear progression.
