AMATEUR BOXING

Junior (10-16) & Senior (17+) - ABAE Affiliated

£5/session

This is for boxers who want to compete. Or boxers who think they might want to compete. If you've been training recreationally and feel ready to step up, or if you're an experienced amateur looking for a new gym, this is where the serious work happens.

We're ABAE affiliated with BBBofC licensed coaches. Our amateurs compete across London and the South East, from development shows to national championships. The training is hard. The coaching is detailed. The support around fight time is second to none.

TWO PROGRAMMES

🏆

JUNIOR AMATEURS

Ages 10-16 - Mon/Wed/Fri 6-7:30pm

For carded junior boxers. If your child has been training recreationally and shows the ability and desire to compete, this is the next step. The coaches will let you know when they're ready.

Training includes technical work, sparring, fitness, and fight-specific preparation. We take matchmaking seriously - your child won't be put in the ring unless they're ready.

🏅

SENIOR AMATEURS

Ages 17+ - Mon-Fri 7:30-9pm

For carded or aspiring amateur boxers. Whether you're looking for your first bout or your fiftieth, the training is tailored to where you are in your boxing journey.

Expect sparring, pad work with coaches, technical drilling, and conditioning. Before a fight, the preparation gets specific - game plans, opponent analysis, the lot.

WHAT TRAINING LOOKS LIKE

1

WARM-UP & ROUNDS (15 mins)

Skipping, shadow boxing, footwork drills. Three to four rounds to get loose and focused.

2

TECHNICAL WORK (20 mins)

Combination drilling, defensive patterns, counter-punching. The coaches work on specific things with each boxer - this isn't one-size-fits-all.

3

SPARRING & PADS (30 mins)

Controlled sparring, coach-led pad rounds, body sparring. The sparring is supervised and matched carefully. Rounds are structured with clear objectives.

4

CONDITIONING (15 mins)

Circuits, bag work, core. Fight fitness is different from gym fitness - the conditioning is designed to make you last three rounds at full intensity.
