Women's Boxing Near Abbey Wood
Women's Boxing Near Abbey Wood
If you live near Abbey Wood and want to try boxing, start with the women's guide rather than guessing from an old timetable snippet. Honour and Glory is in Kidbrooke, so the useful decision is class fit, first-session comfort and whether the travel from SE2 works for the class you want.
The current Abbey Wood women's route is here: women's boxing near Abbey Wood. Use that for the latest class guidance, free group-class trial route and links to the live class and timetable pages.
What the training is like
Women's boxing at H&G is coached properly. Expect boxing skills first: stance, guard, footwork, pad work, bag work, combinations and controlled conditioning. The aim is not to throw you into sparring or leave you to copy a circuit without feedback.
Beginners are welcome, but the class still feels like boxing. You should bring comfortable sports clothes, trainers and water. If you do not already own gloves or wraps, ask before buying kit for the first session.

Abbey Wood to the Kidbrooke gym
Honour and Glory trains at 122 Broad Walk, Kidbrooke, SE3 8ND. From Abbey Wood, many visitors treat the first session as a practical SE London class choice: can you get there comfortably, do you like the coaching room, and does the class route match what you want?
Driving via the A2 is often the simplest option if you are bringing kit or travelling after work. Public transport can work through Woolwich and local connections, but check the route against the class you want before booking.
Women-specific, mixed adult or PT
Some women want a women-specific environment. Others are happy in mixed adult recreational classes. Some need paid private coaching because they want one-to-one attention or a quieter start. Those are different routes, so keep the decision clear.
The free trial is for scheduled group classes. Personal training is paid private coaching and should be handled through the Abbey Wood PT route rather than the group-class trial form.
