Women's Boxing Near Abbey Wood

Saturday morning sessions at Honour and Glory are for women only. The class runs from 10:30am to 12pm every week, and the standard of coaching is the same as every other class at the club.

If you live near Abbey Wood and you have been thinking about trying boxing, this is a practical and well-structured option.

What the Session Covers

Each Saturday session includes a warm-up, technical work on the pads, bag work, and conditioning. The structure varies week to week but the intensity is consistent. You will work hard for 90 minutes.

The women who train here range from absolute beginners to those who have been training for a year or more. The coaching is pitched accordingly. You will not be left standing around wondering what to do.

No Experience Required

Many women who join the Saturday class have never boxed before. The coaches are patient and methodical. You will learn stance, guard, and basic combinations in the first session. After three or four sessions, the difference in your movement and power is noticeable.

Women's boxing training at Honour and Glory

Boxing is not a sport that requires prior athletic experience. It requires consistency and a willingness to learn. Both are more than enough to get started.

The Gym and the Environment

Honour and Glory is at 122 Broad Walk, Kidbrooke, London SE3 8ND. From Abbey Wood the drive takes around 20 minutes. Free parking is on site.

The gym is serious and welcoming. The Saturday class has its own identity within the club. It is not an add-on or an afterthought. The coaching staff take the women's programme seriously.

Cost and Commitment

Sessions cost £10 each. No contract, no joining fee, no direct debit. Saturday morning fits around other commitments. If you need to miss a week, you miss a week and pay nothing for it.

The club is ABA affiliated, has over 200 members, and holds a 4.9-star rating on Google from more than 40 reviews.

The Saturday Group

The class has a settled group of members who attend regularly, at varying levels and for different lengths of time. New members join a working atmosphere rather than a beginner-only introduction class.

That mix is useful. You can see what the training looks like at different stages, and the more experienced members are not precious about being around beginners.
