The Saturday 10am session at Honour and Glory is a women's boxing class that has been running long enough to have a settled, consistent group of members. It is not a new initiative. It is an established part of the club's weekly programme.

From Barnehurst, the drive to Kidbrooke takes about 12 minutes. What you get when you arrive is a proper boxing session run by qualified coaches.

What Saturday Morning Looks Like

The session runs from 10am to 11am. You will work on technique: stance, footwork, jab and cross combinations, pad work with a partner. The coach does not just supervise; they correct and develop your technique throughout the session.

The physical demand is real. Boxing training works the whole body and the cardiovascular system simultaneously. By 12pm you will have done something substantial.

Barnehurst Golf Club might be the nearest local landmark, but on a Saturday morning, the boxing gym in Kidbrooke is the better use of the time.

The Environment

Women of different experience levels train in the same session. Some have been boxing for years; others are in their first month. The coaching adjusts to where each person is. There is no pressure to be further along than you are.

No contact unless you want it. Most women in the class train on pads and bags. Sparring is available for those who want it and are ready for it; it is never mandatory.

Cost and Structure
