Kids Boxing Classes Near Shooters Hill
Children from Shooters Hill who want to try boxing have a club four minutes down the road at Kidbrooke. Honour and Glory runs structured classes for kids from age 7, split into two age groups so the sessions are appropriate for where children actually are, not just averaged out.
The Two Age Groups
Infants (ages 7 to 9): Shorter sessions, movement-focused, technique introduced gradually. The emphasis at this age is coordination, listening, and building the basic habits of stance and defence.
Juniors (ages 10 to 16): More structured. Combinations, footwork drills, pad work with coaches. At this level children develop proper boxing skills and, if they want, can work towards representing the club in amateur competition.
Both groups run weekdays from 5pm at 122 Broad Walk, Kidbrooke, SE3 8ND.
What Makes It Different
All coaches are DBS checked. The gym is ABA affiliated. This is not a martial arts franchise or a PE teacher running an after-school club. It is a proper boxing club with coaches who know the sport.

Children learn self-discipline because boxing demands it. You cannot throw a combination correctly when you are distracted. That focus builds over weeks and months and parents consistently notice it carrying across into school work and other areas.
From Shooters Hill
The gym is four minutes by car on the A207 through to Kidbrooke. The 486 bus also links the areas. Many parents from near Oxleas Woods and Castle Wood drop their children at the 5pm class, wait, and are home before 7pm.
Free parking is available on site, which matters for families doing the after-school run.
A Note on Contact
Kids at Honour and Glory do pad work with coaches and partners. They do not get in a ring and spar until they are ready and their coach agrees they are ready. Safety is structured, not left to chance.
