Women's Boxing Near Rotherhithe
Women's Boxing Near Rotherhithe
Rotherhithe has a growing fitness culture, but a dedicated women's boxing class taught to a proper standard is not something you will find in the immediate area. The women's boxing session at Honour and Glory runs every Saturday morning and is worth the 22-minute journey from Rotherhithe.
The club is at 122 Broad Walk, Kidbrooke, SE3 8ND. Full area guide here.
Saturday Morning Boxing
The women's session runs from 10:30am to 12pm every Saturday. The cost is £10. No contract, no direct debit, no joining fee.
The session is coached throughout. It covers pad work, bag technique, footwork and movement, and conditioning rounds. Coaches are BBBofC licensed and the club holds ABA affiliation. The instruction is specific, not generalised.
This is not a boxercise class. It is boxing, taught by people who understand the sport technically and who adapt the coaching to the level of each person in the room.
Free parking is on site. Saturday morning traffic from Rotherhithe to Kidbrooke is lighter than weekday evenings, making the 22-minute journey feel shorter than it does on paper.
All Experience Levels Welcome
The women's class takes complete beginners and regular attendees within the same session. Coaches manage both simultaneously.

Beginners start with the fundamentals: stance, guard, jab and cross. Those who have trained for longer work on refining their technique, adding combinations, and developing conditioning. Neither group disrupts the progress of the other.
Over time, regular attendees see genuine improvement in technique, fitness, and confidence. The structured nature of the session is what makes this possible, as opposed to an open gym format where you train without direction.
Rotherhithe to Kidbrooke
Canada Water station on the Jubilee Line connects to London Bridge in a few minutes. From there, trains and buses run towards Kidbrooke. Total journey time by public transport is around 40-45 minutes, which is manageable for a Saturday morning session with a noon finish.
Women from Bermondsey and Peckham make the same journey to attend the Saturday class at Honour and Glory. The class has a consistent regular attendance.
