Kids Boxing Classes Near Lee

By H&G Team 2 min read 10 min drive from Lee

Lee is a family area. The parks, the schools, the quieter streets. If you have children who need a sport that teaches focus and confidence alongside the physical side, boxing at Honour and Glory is one train stop from Lee station to Kidbrooke.

The club runs dedicated children's classes weekdays from 5pm at 122 Broad Walk, SE3 8ND.

Two Groups, Two Approaches

Infants (ages 7 to 9): Shorter sessions with an emphasis on movement, coordination, and the foundational habits: listening, controlling your guard, keeping your feet active. Children at this age are introduced to boxing without being overwhelmed by technique.

Juniors (ages 10 to 16): More demanding sessions. Combinations, footwork drills, controlled pad work with coaches. At the upper end of this group, young boxers can represent the club in amateur competitions if they want to.

Both groups receive coaching from DBS-checked coaches in an ABA-affiliated club.

What Parents From Lee Notice

The most common feedback from parents who bring children from Lee is about focus. Children who are distracted at school or who struggle to commit to activities often find boxing holds their attention in a way other sports do not. The technical nature of it means there is always something new to work on.

The sessions also build confidence without building arrogance, which is a balance the sport gets right when it is coached well.

Getting There From Lee

The train from Lee station to Kidbrooke takes a few minutes on the Southeastern line. From Kidbrooke station to the gym is around 10 minutes walk. The 178 bus is an alternative if the train timing does not suit.

Free parking at 122 Broad Walk makes the car journey straightforward. Most families from around Manor House Gardens drive via Eltham Road.

About Contact and Safety

Children do not spar freely. They work on pads with coaches and, as they develop, with other members of similar ability. Full sparring happens only when a coach has assessed them as ready. That progression is built into the programme.
