About Wandsworth Boxing Club
Wandsworth Boxing Club trains at the Royal Marine Barracks on Merton Road in Southfields, SW18. The military barracks setting gives the club a distinctive, no-nonsense atmosphere - it's not a commercial gym, and it doesn't try to be. This is proper community amateur boxing.
The club is affiliated with England Boxing and has won a Mayor of Wandsworth Award for its contribution to the local community - a recognition that reflects real impact, not just participation. Coaching is led by a team that includes Karen, Diony, Terri, Garry, and Nathan - a mixed coaching team that reflects the club's inclusive approach.
Classes run twice a week for ages 9 and above. The club keeps its community roots front and centre: this is boxing for the borough, not for profit. Their Wandsworth community focus means they probably know most of their members by name.

Location and Access

Honour & Glory is in Kidbrooke, well-placed for Blackheath, Eltham, Lee, and Greenwich - most under 15 minutes.
What Both Clubs Share
Both are genuine community amateur boxing clubs with no commercial pressure and a real commitment to developing local boxers. That's not nothing. The Boxing landscape is full of fitness-boxing studios that use the word "boxing" loosely - both Wandsworth BC and Honour & Glory do the real thing.
The Verdict
Wandsworth Boxing Club is a well-regarded community club doing excellent work in Southfields. For anyone in the Wandsworth, Balham, or Wimbledon area, it's a solid choice.
For South East Londoners, Honour & Glory is significantly closer, offers more sessions per week, starts training from age 5 (vs. 9+), and keeps pricing transparent at pay-as-you-go from £5. Book a free trial and come see us in Kidbrooke.
